The independent candidate Nicușor Dan said on Monday night in the debate organized by Digi24, that he had several questions for his counter-candidate, George Simion, if he had presented at the confrontation. He invoked topics such as education, foreign policy and relationship with criminal groups, harshly criticizing the public image promoted by the golden leader.

“Yes, I would have had more. Simion refused participation, accusing an alleged “media”

The debate organized by Digi24 months, May 12, took place only with the participation of Nicușor Dan, after George Simion officially refused the invitation.

Instead of participation, the golden candidate published a video recording accusing the post journalists of organizing a biased confrontation.

“Do you want to call me at Digi24 to humiliate me, to make you extra rating? You should be ashamed!” Simion said in the filming made in his Senate office, in which several Digi24 journalists appear, in hidden during a discussion on the format of debate.

The only face -to -face debate between the two candidates took place on May 8, at Euronews Romania

Despite George Simion's previous statements that he would participate “in Digi24, Antenna, wherever he wants”, the gold leader later avoided a direct confrontation. So far, the only debate on which both candidates were present was the one organized on Thursday, May 8, by Euronews Romania.
