At the presidential debate organized on Tuesday evening by Antena 3 CNN, in which only Nicușor Dan, the great champion at the chess and opponent of the Putin regime, Garry Kasparov, sent a video question in which he asked the candidates to say if, who became president, will ask Russia to return the treasure to Moscow in 1917.

“Of course, my question will be somehow in connection with Russia. But it is not just about the genocide war carried out by the Putin regime, it is something about history. If I remember correctly, in 1917, during the First World War, the gold of Romania, the treasure, was sent to Russia and, of course, was never returned.

And the question: If you are chosen president, will you do legal pressure or using all the methods available through international negotiations to recover this massive amount of 90 tons of gold for Romania? Will you ask that Putin – who is considered the successor to Tsarist Russia, communist Russia – to respect the obligations of Russia? ”, Asked Garry Kasparov, at the debate from Antena 3 CNN.

Nicușor Dan: “It's not just about gold”

The only candidate present at the debate of Antena 3, Nicușor Dan said that the return of the treasure is an “important symbolic objective”, but which requires that Romania have “levers” and “strength” to negotiate with Russia.

“First of all, all the admiration for Garry Kasparov, a brilliant mind that, unfortunately, when he tried to get involved in the internal politics in Russia, he was covered by a propaganda car. It is not just about the 90 tonnes of gold. It is the treasure is there. The treasure is coming back.

George Simion is missing from the debate. It's in Warsaw

Although guest, gold leader George Simion did not participate in the debate organized by Antena 3 CNN. George Simion was present on Tuesday morning at an event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), dedicated to candidates for the presidential elections. Nicușor Dan was missing from this meeting.

After the event, Simion said he was leaving the country for a meeting with a “president” from a member country of the European Union, without providing details about the return. He was surprised at the airport before leaving.

George Simion went to Poland, where he participated in an election rally by Karol Nawrocki.
