“I talked to President Erdogan. We discussed the key details of the meeting in Turkey, which can help end the war. I am grateful for the support and readiness to promote diplomacy at the highest level. We both see the need to suspend weapons” – noted Zelanski in a telegram.
According to him, it is necessary for the partners to ensure monitoring of a weapon suspension. “We are ready for direct conversations with Putin. And it is very important that we all cooperate in Europe to ensure long -term security. We will be in constant contact with America” - emphasized the head of the Ukrainian state.
“We agreed with President Erdogan to work together for peace,” added the head of the state.
Earlier, Zelanski repeated that he would go to Turkey for peace conversations with the Russians on Thursday and would like to see US President Donald Trump there. He hopes that Russian leader Vladimir Putin will not avoid this meeting.
