Sikorski about pressure on Moscow. “The West must draw conclusions”

Sikorski came to a meeting of foreign ministers so -called Holy Friday (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain) with the participation of Great Britain and EU representatives, which takes place two days after the conversations of European leaders in Kiev.
“We agreed that we would continue our benefit for peace, we agreed that the parties would look for a way to suspend weapons (…) effective negotiations to end this war and respect international law” – said the minister. He also assured that he represents Prime Minister Donald Tusk and is counting on the development of clear conditions with the Ukrainian Minister Andrij Sybiha, “which the Russian Federation must do to make this war end”.
Sikorski about the need for pressure to Russia
Sikorski reminded that President Wołodymyr Zełenski over a month ago unconditionally accepted a 30-day ceasefire, while Moscow is constantly rejecting this offer. He pointed out that “it would be reasonable to end this unfortunate, criminal war, but Mr. Putin is not reasonable.” If Russia rejects the truce again, “It will be a logical conclusion that pressure should be exerted not only on the bonnet of aggression, but also on the perpetrator of this aggression until he felt this pain and worsens.”
On Saturday in Kiev, the heads of the government of Poland, France, Germany, Great Britain and President Zelnski called on Russia for unconditional suspension of weapons for 30 days and joining peace conversations – the initiative was supported by leaders of about 30 countries of “Coalitions of Volunteers”, as well as US President Donald Trump. Moscow presented a counter -proposal, assuming conversations without preliminary conditions since next Thursday, but did not mention the interruption of the fire.
