The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, announces that Vladimir Putin rejects the possibility of a 30 -day fire in the Ukraine war if the West ceases to provide weapons.

“If we talk about a cessation of fire, then what do we do with the weapons that come from the US daily and from the European countries?” Peskov said, in an interview with American television ABC News, taken over Pravda.

According to Peskov, the Kremlin considers it impossible to implement this initiative while “Russian troops advance on the fronts and make it quite confident.” And during the armistice, says Peskov, Western weapons deliveries should be stopped.

“This will be an advantage for Ukraine. Ukraine will continue to completely mobilize, transfer new troops to the front line. It will use this time to train new military and to give rest to those who already fight. So why should we offer Ukraine such an advantage?” said Peskov.

At the same time, Peskov claims that Putin would have “done everything possible to solve the problem by peaceful and diplomatic”, but in the absence of “peaceful and diplomatic means”, Moscow is “forced to continue the military operation”.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday launched a call on his Social Truth network to “an unconditional cessation of 30 -day fire” in Ukraine. Trump has threatened that both Russia and Ukraine “will be held accountable”, and “if the cessation of fire is not respected, the United States and their partners will impose new sanctions.”

Later, Reuters reported on Friday, citing a French diplomatic source, that the United States and European allies of Ukraine are in progress of a proposal on an armistice for a period of 30 days in the Russian-Ukrainian war, a proposal that will be sent to Russia, and if it rejects it will be subject to new sanctions that will be imposed by the US.
