The Sejm passed the open wage. Orlen did his version, who showed the full remuneration of the former president and former board members last year. As it turns out, they did not limit himself to one “stool”, but drew profits simultaneously from two positions in the fuel group. And what! In just over a month of work, Daniel Obajtek received over 142 thousand to his account. zloty.
After changing the rule, audits began, which surprise the scale of irregularity and unethical behavior of the management. “Fakt” refers to the documents made available by Orlen, which showed that the day of the former head of the concern in 2024 was 21,000. zloty.
Daniel Obajtek gave way to his position on February 5, 2024. This was his salary with the additions:
- pay from January 1 to February 5 – PLN 135,633 PLN 18;
- severance pay for termination of the contract – PLN 349,542 and PLN 45;
- Compensation for a ban on competition – PLN 699 084 and 90 grosze;
- extra money for remaining at the company's disposal from the date of termination of the contract – PLN 349,542 and 45 grosze;
- Additional benefits – PLN 165,539 and 24 gr.
This gives the sum paid by Orlen in 2024 – PLN 1 million 699 642 and 22 gr.
But as it turns out, Daniel Obajtek also sat on the supervisory board of a daughter company, i.e. Orlen Synthos Green Energy. There, the remuneration of the former head of Orlen was from January 1 to February 9, 2024, PLN 142,017 and 26 groszy.
The current management did not earn for sitting on supervisory boards in 2024.

The publication of annual reports of companies listed on the WSE and controlled by the State Treasury showed how the earnings of national chairmen of the champions were shaped. After taking power in the state by the new government coalition, with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, at the head of 2024 brought lower earnings of presidents than those reported during Mateusz Morawiecki, but this is primarily the effect of the staff broom.
