The billionaire Bill Gates stated on Thursday that he would transfer about $ 200 billion, i.e. almost all his fortune, for the needy. He also appealed to other rich people to follow his footsteps. The money is to be transferred through its foundation until 2045.

“There are too many problems to solve for me to stick to funds that could help others,” he noted. “Therefore, over the next 20 years I will pass my whole property through Gates Foundation to save and improve the lives of people around the world,” he announced and added that his foundation would close the activities on December 31, 2045.
In the illustration he presented how the value of his property will fall by 99 percent. “People will say different things about me when I die, but I am determined so that it is not +die rich +” – said Gates.
Microsoft's co -founder referred to a significant limitation of expenditure on humanitarian aid through Western rule. The United States, which financed the largest part of humanitarian aid, drastically limited financing for the agency responsible for its delivery – USAID.
The 69-year-old philanthrop noted that France and Great Britain are also among the countries that limit support for assistance organizations.
In a statement, Gates explained that he did not want infants, children and mothers to die for reasons that can be prevented. He also wants to limit the spread of diseases such as polio, malaria and measles, and limit poverty.
Gates presented his vision in a statement on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Foundation. He founded the organization Gates together with his wife Melinda in 2000. Over time, another billionaire Warren Buffett joined them.
Gates, whose fortune is estimated at $ 108 billion, stated that the Foundation will spend about $ 200 billion before the end of 2045, but noted that this amount may change depending on the condition of the markets and inflation.
The Reuters agency pointed out that the Gates Foundation is already very important in helping in places where people need it the most. In 2026, the foundation's budget will be nine billion. Due to the role played by Gates Foundation, many institutions, including the World Health Organization, criticized the billionaire and its initiative for having too extensive influence. (PAP)
