Allegations for disclosing Poland's defense plans. Sławomir Cenckiewicz appeared in the prosecutor's office
The former head of the Military Historical Office Sławomir Cenckiewicz appeared in the Military Department of the Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office, where he is to hear allegations of declassification in 2023. Cenckiewicz is another person associated with the former defense minister, PiS MP Mariusz Błaszczak, to whom the prosecutor's office accuses, among others exceeding the rights in connection with the declassification and disclosure in September 2023 part of the Plan of the use of the Polish Armed Forces “Warta” – the concept of defense against the potential attack of Russia.
Cenckiewicz arrived on Thursday morning to the Military Department of the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, where several dozen people gathered in front of the building, among them the presidential candidate supported by PiS Karol Nawrocki, Błaszczak, as well as another PiS politician, former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

B. WBH, speaking to the gathered, called Prime Minister Donald Tusk “the enemy of freedom”, “pathological liar” as well as a person who “fights with the truth and free word.” He assessed that Blaszczak, revealing information from the “Warta” set in 2023, found materials “that Tusk was preparing Poland with a complete military, political and historical disaster.” “Today, Minister Blaszczak, and we are all prosecuted,” he added.
Blaszczak said that the meeting before “illegally taken over the prosecutor's office” takes place in defense of the truth, because “the current pathological power is trying to darken the situation and cover the memory of his actions.”
Nawrocki also appeared before the prosecutor's office, who said that Cenckiewicz should be defended, who as “one of the greatest Polish historians of the 21st century” devoted his whole life to the truth. He said that today the historian pays the price and – as he assessed – “is to be destroyed” for “he has the courage to write, tell the truth and advise the candidate for the president of Poland.”
The gathered chanted: “Down with communism”, “Betrayal, betrayal”, “Sławek, Sławek” and “Here is Poland”.

The former head of WBH had previously informed in social media that he was to be charged with aid in the abuse of powers by a public official, which could result in significant damage, as well as the disclosure or use of classified information about the “secret” or “strictly secret” clause.
“The thing concerns + Vistula line + and in principle a few sentences, which from this compromising Poland and its authorities (Donald Tusk) (Donald Tusk) the Polish army delayed the Russian March to Warsaw was declared by Minister Blaszczak, having full right” – wrote Cenckiewicz.
He also strongly denied that he had participated in the decision regarding the “Warta” plan. He claims that the allegations are unfounded, politically and personally motivated, and the whole thing is part of a wider hunt related to, among others with his previous actions to expose the agent and liquidation of the village. In the defense of Cenckiewicz, the support list was published by former colleagues from the Military Historical Bureau, as well as former members of the State Commission for Research of Russian influence.
The proceedings in this case are conducted at the Military Department of the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw. In April, the allegations of aid in this matter were heard by two associates of the former head of the Ministry of National Defense: Agnieszka Glapiak, former director of the Ministry of National Defense Operational Center, currently deputy head of the National Broadcasting Council (agreed to give the name) and Piotr Z., former director of the Department of Strategy and Defense Planning of the Ministry of National Defense. Both of the suspects did not confess to the accused of them and refused to answer the questions.
Earlier, in March, Blaszczak also heard allegations in this matter, who also did not plead guilty, which he assessed as unfounded. He argued that he declassified fragments of the document from the archive so that it was impossible to return to the concept of “Poland's defense on the Vistula line” and that he would do the same again.
The case concerns the declaration of declassification and then public disclosure in September 2023 by Błaszczak part of the document of the Plan of the use of the Polish Armed Forces “Warta”. Referring to this document, he accused PO politicians that at the time of their rule they planned in the event of an invasion of the state defense on the Vistula line and “devoting half of the country to the attacker.” On July 17, 2024, the head of SKW, General Jarosław Stróżyk, submitted a notification in the prosecutor's office about the suspicion of committing a crime by the former head of the Ministry of National Defense.
According to the prosecutor's office Blaszczak, “when deciding to lift the secrecy clause on operational planning documents +plan for the use of the Polish Armed Forces (…) +, he acted in violation of law, because despite the fact that they were in the Military Historical Office, the statutory premises for the protection of the classified information contained in them did not cease.” At her request, the Sejm agreed to pull Błaszczak to criminal liability – on March 6 he repealed the PiS MP Immunitet.
