A new feature has appeared in the Revoluta application – the possibility of buying and activating public transport tickets. Poland is the first country in the world where Revolut has released the possibility of buying tickets. You can buy them for 50 cities, and the service is provided by SkyCash. To start the possibility of buying tickets, you must update the Revolut application, select the “More” tab (lower menu) and touch the “Transport” icon (with a bus).
Then, select from the list (in the upper right corner) one of over 50 cities and a ticket type (in some cities, enter additional data, e.g. line or vehicle number) and confirm the payment. The purchased ticket will be visible in the “My tickets” section, you can choose, activate it (e.g. by directing on the QR code on the bus, trolleybus, tram or in front of the goals in the subway).

– Public transport in the Revolut application is a facilitation for clients who travel every day to work, school or to the university, but also for people traveling to other cities in service or on vacation – he says – said Fernando Pastor Durántez, Product Owner Retail Localisation in Revolut – in the future we want to provide a service for tourists from abroad visiting Polish towns. We have over 50 million customers, many of them may visit Poland in the future and this function will be useful to them – he adds.
Revolut is more and more pushing on the Polish market, while adding new services to the application. Some of them are local solutions, such as, for example, a recently implemented BLIK. In less than 5 months from the premiere, Blika has already activated over a million customers. Currently, the bank already serves 4.5 million Poles, and the Revolut's goal is to achieve a ceiling of 5 million this year.
Today, every fourth resident of Warsaw (27%), Krakow (26%) and Wrocław (25%), and every fifth inhabitant of Poznań (23%) and the Tri -City (21%) have the application of Revolut. The largest local community of Revolut clients has in the capital, where it is used by over half a million Warsaw residents (486,000 adults and 17,000 young). In the TOP5 of the largest cities of Revolut in Poland there are also Krakow, Wrocław, Poznań and the Tri -City.
Revolut Bank has recently announced that it will also enter the mobile telephony market. For now, he is testing the service in Great Britain and Germany, but he intends to make it available in other countries. We wrote more about this in the article on the mobile telephony market enters a new player.
