Just one day after the official announcement, Kurt Zouma posted a message on Instagram, addressed to Cluj supporters:

“Thanks to all the fans! I wish you all the best. It was a short trip. It wasn't meant to be. But this is God's plan. Eager for more“, Zouma wrote, in English, on Instagram Stories.

An impressive resume, but serious medical problems

Kurt Happy Zouma signed with CFR Cluj in September, having a contract until June 2027. His track record includes a Champions League (2021) and two Premier League titles (2015 and 2017), all won with Chelsea, but also the Conference League (2023), with West Ham United.

Unfortunately for both parties, the medical problems discovered in both knees, only after the signing of the contract, made it impossible for the French defender to continue.

Only 197 minutes in the shirt of Transylvania

Zouma made only four appearances for CFR Cluj, accumulating 197 minutes on the pitch:

• 11 minutes at the start, with UTA Arad (1-1), plus a yellow card

• 85 minutes in the failure with Petrolul (0-1), where he received another warning

• 90 minutes in the Romanian Cup, against the second division CSM Slatina (4-0)

• Last appearance: with Dinamo, in the 15th stage of the Superliga. It entered with a score of 1-0, but CFR lost 1-2, receiving two
