During a conversation with journalists at the Defense24 Days event, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz described the president's decision as “fatal” and “completely incomprehensible”. He expressed surprise, taking into account the assurances of the Ministry of Finance about plans to compensate for budget losses resulting from the reduction of the premium.
“Thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of Polish entrepreneurs can feel very disappointed today. A very important group, a group that builds Poland's economic growth and in fact decisive for its economic security, was abandoned by the President. (…) The president, blocking this law, says “not” small and medium -sized entrepreneurs, families or family businesses“-said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
People announce that they will not lay down their arms in this matter. The minister declared that they would consistently work to reduce fiscal loads for entrepreneurs and Polish families. In the post on the platform X Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote: “Immediately after the election of the new president, we will submit an act again in the Sejm. We won't let it go!“.
Reduction of the health premium in the Sejm
The Act was previously adopted by KO, Polish 2050-TD and PSL-TD voices, with the opposition of PiS, the left and the Circle Together. The confederation abstained.
Critics of the Act, including representatives of the left, argued that the changes will benefit the richest entrepreneurs and the budget would suffer at PLN 4.6 billion a year. The reduction would concern 2.5 million people conducting business activity. The assumptions predicted a two -element basis of the premium – a flat -rate for income to a fixed level, and the percentage for income above this limit.
