A solemn procession in the Vatican. The cardinals went to the conclave

After a short prayer, the cardinals set off in a procession from the chapel of the Pauline Apostolic Palace, everyone in a choir outfit. It consists of a red cassock with a red mucet, i.e. a cape, a red belt with silk fringes, red Piuski and Biret.
The procession to the Sistine Chapel was accompanied by a song of Veni Creator, in which there is a call for the help of the Holy Spirit.
Another sublime event is to read the solemn oath by all electors. Then the electors approach the open book of the Gospel in turn and promise: “I promise, commit myself and swear.” Putting his hand on the book, they say: “Help me, Lord God and these holy Gospels, whom I touch with my hand.”
When the oath takes the last of the electors, the master of papal liturgical ceremonies, Archbishop Diego Ravella, issues “Extra Omnes” (all outside). Then everyone who does not take part in the conclave will have to leave the Sistine Chapel.
