The independent candidate Nicuşor Dan believes that Romania can generate five million votes in a prooccidental direction, stating that it has no doubt in this regard. Nicușor Dan added that every citizen must advise for a rational direction for Romania.

“It's not about me here. Fortunately, it is about society and the Romanian society has the resources to do this. George Simion voted 3.8 million people, I voted for 2 million, Crin Antonescu, Victor Ponta one and a half. independent.

“It is only necessary for each of us to advocate for a rational direction for Romania, the people who have social confidence must come out to manifest themselves in this direction and I am very, very optimistic that the prooccidental, economic rational direction will win Romania. I am very optimistic,” he continued, quoted by News.ro.

Asked why the Romanians from abroad voted for an antiocidental candidate, Nicuşor Dan replied: “because they are also revolted for what is happening in Romania and because they had a party that campaigned for four years, as opposed to the classic parties we had.”

“The Gold Party has even campaigned in the diaspora,” added the mayor of the Capital.

Previously during the day of Monday, Nicușor Dan, who entered the second round of the presidential elections in the second position, said, in a press conference, that he “set the era” in which the electorate was considered “bags of votes of parties”.

“An era has set out in which some political parties considered the electorate with votes that they moved from one side to the other. A political debate will follow and I am very optimistic that the Romanian society has the wisdom resources to go in the correct direction,” said the mayor, at his campaign headquarters.

Nicușor Dan obtained, at the first round of the presidential elections, held on Sunday, with 1,979,767 votes (20.99%), according to the data published by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), after counting all verbal processes.
