In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal case of the death of four children began as a result of insecticides poisoning.

Today, the prosecutor was charged to a 34-year-old man of causing death by negligence (part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) to four children-6, 9, 11 and 13 years old. He recalled that in September 2024, a resident of Red Sopka treated the house with an anti -insect. It neglected the instructions for the use of the drug and precautions, exceeding the rate of expenditure for the area of ​​the premises calculated by the manufacturer. The components of the aerosol fell on food, dishes, furniture and bedding.

“After that, the head of the family did not comply with the manufacturer’s recommendations on ventilation of the room with a through air flow and wet cleaning of surfaces after processing, allowed the children to the room, including eating and an overnight stay in the house. The next day, all family members felt a sharp deterioration in the state of health with signs of intestinal disorder and were hospitalized. Despite the medical assistance provided, it was not possible to save the children, they died in medical institutions, ”the prosecutor’s press service recalled.

The commission forensic examination showed that the cause of the death of four young children is acute poisoning with destructive poison (insecticides) of systemic action.

The prosecutor said that the court has to interrogate the victim and witnesses, as well as the accused himself, and then explore the written materials of the case and material evidence.

“Today the prosecution was announced, the sister of the defendant was interrogated as a victim in the case, his brother and wife and mother of the dead children as witnesses. They talked about the circumstances of what happened, which consider a tragic accident. At the hearing, the father of the children refused to express their attitude to the deed, ”the press service explained.

The man explained: “I really did not leave the house for ventilation for the whole night, the children entered the house, because the smell of Dichlophos was not felt.”

Now the defendant faces up to 4 years in prison. The next meeting will be held on May 21.
