Cheese puffs in 10 minutes: disappear from the table faster than you can pour tea

Sometimes you want to pamper your family with something tasty and crunchy, but you don’t have the energy or time to stand at the stove for half an hour. Introducing the perfect solution – hot cheese puffs, which are prepared from two ingredients in just 15 minutes. This option is even simpler than classic sausage rolls, as it does not require wrapping each portion.

Ingredients:

Ready-made puff pastry (yeast-free) – 250 g
Hard cheese – 150 g
Egg – 1 pc.
Sesame or flax seeds – optional

How to cook:

  • Thaw puff pastry at room temperature.
  • Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  • Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle.
  • Sprinkle half the surface of the dough with grated cheese.
  • Cover with the other half of the dough and press lightly with your palms.
  • Cut the workpiece into squares or triangles measuring 5×5 cm.
  • Place the products on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  • Beat the egg with a fork and brush the surface of each puff pastry.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds for flavor and beauty.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
