The presidential gold candidate imposed in elections in the vast majority of counties in the country. Crin Antonescu only won in the counties with a strong Hungarian presence, while Nicușor Dan managed to win in just two places. Victor Ponta, the candidate out of fourth, prevailed in a single locality from all over the country.

Gold Romania
George Simion managed to win the first round of presidential elections with 40.9%, ranking first in no less than 35 counties in the country.
Nicușor Dan took 2 with almost 21% and, at the county level, he only imposed in Cluj and Bucharest.
Crin Antonescu, the candidate supported by the PSD-PNL-UDMR governing coalition came out on 3 by 20.1%, but at the county level he managed to impose only in the places where there was an involvement of the Hungarian electorate: Harghita, Covasna, Mureș, Bihor and Satu Mare.
Results in each locality
At the local level, George Simion's domination in the country was huge: the golden candidate won the elections in the vast majority of the localities, in many even 60%scores, as shown on the map made by HotNews.ro with official data from the AEP.
Very high scores for Simion can be found in many localities in Constanța county, in localities in Timiș and Arad, but also in Suceava or Maramureș, in border localities with Ukraine.
Nicușor Dan won in the country especially in the urban areas: he won five of the six sectors of Bucharest, but also in several big localities in Ilfov. At the same time, the independent candidate imposed in Cluj-Napoca and in the surroundings.
Similarly, Nicușor Dan was imposed in Timisoara and the adjacent areas, in Sibiu, Brașov and Iași.
Victor Ponta, the candidate who came out in the race fourth with a score of 13.1% won in a single locality: Căianu Mic, Bistrița Năsăud (52.17%).
