Attack on civilians in Kiev
On the night of Saturday to Sunday, Kyiv experienced another Russian drone attack. The raid caused the air alarm to start, and fires broke out in several districts. The State Service of Ukraine for extraordinary situations announced that seven people were injured, including two children. There is still a rescue and search action, no information about the victims.
A miracle in the Amazon
Five avionette passengers, who had to land in the Bolivian part of the Amazon, were saved after 36 hours of waiting for help. On the spot, the machine was surrounded by alligators, which further hindered the situation of the crew and passengers. The pilot specified that after finding the engine failure, he decided to land on wetlands. It ended with a tipping of the machine and partial flooding. The passengers of the aircraft survived, feeding on the flour from Maniok taken on board by one of the people.
Possible escalation in gas
On Sunday, the Israeli security office plans to discuss the possibility of intensifying military activities in the Gaza Strip. The decision may be made in the coming days, and notifications of mobilization have already been sent to tens of thousands of reservists – informs the DPA agency. According to the Israeli media, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already given initial consent to expand the surgery during the meeting of the office of May 3. The Israeli information portal Ynet has announced that the new offensive may start in the coming days. Its purpose is to increase the pressure of Islamist Hamas to free hostages abducted from Israel.

The first round of repeated presidential elections will take place in Romania. In December, the constitutional court annulled the November first round of elections due to abuse in an extremely nationalist campaign and famous for the pro -Russian statements of Calina Georgescu. This caused broad controversy in Romania and abroad. 11 candidates take part in the current election, and the favorite is George Simion, the leader of the radical right -wing union for the unity of Romanians (AUR) with a survey support of about 30 percent, which gives him an almost certain promotion to the second round, which will take place on May 18. Simion actively refers to the legacy of Georgescu, although he never publicly expressed support for the AUR leader. Electoral premises open from 8-20.
Today before noon at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw there will be a central celebration of the Firefighter Day with the participation of President Andrzej Duda and the Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak.
During the ceremony, the President of the Republic of Poland will give state decorations and general promotions to officers of the State Fire Service, while from the hands of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, new generals will receive commemorative sabers.
