The locomotive of a passenger train caught fire in the station in Sinaia. 120 passengers have self-evacuated

A fire broke out in a traveler train on Sunday, May 4, around 1:00 pm, at the Sinaia train station. The locomotive of the gasket that was heading to Brasov was filled with smoke, and about 120 people in the wagons have safely saved. No victims were registered.

According to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Prahova, the fire broke out at the level of the locomotive compressor, and the military firefighters in the Sinaia Detachment intervened quickly for the localization and liquidation of the fire, reports News.ro.

“The firefighters arriving on the spot found that there were smoke releases at the level of a locomotive compressor, with no special problems. From the train they have saved around 120 people, without medical problems,” ISU Prahova said.

The passengers did not need medical care, and the authorities are to determine how they will be transported to the final destinations.

Another railway incident occurred on Sunday, May 4, in the train station in Constanța, where a locomotive collided with a traveler train. The impact resulted in at least 15 injured people, some requiring medical care. 5 conscious victims were transported to the hospital. Another 10 were evaluated on the spot.

Just a few days ago, the locomotive of a freight train loaded with 800 tons of cereals caught fire. At the place of the intervention, the firefighters from the Sânnicolau Mare section and the 1 Timisoara Detachment with three extinguishing vehicles and a SMURD crew were traveled.
