The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) registered 243 notifications of possible electoral incidents on Sunday, and most notifications – about 100 – were related to the marketing or consumption of alcoholic beverages near the polling stations, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Monica Dajbog, quoted by Agerpres.

Another 40 notifications, which were not within the competence of the MAI, were transmitted for settlement to the electoral bureaus and the permanent electoral authority.

One of the notifications regarding the voting irregularities refers to a voter in a locality in Vrancea county, who broke the ballot he had received and became recalcitrant to the members of the polling commission.

Police officers from the Sălaj County Police Inspectorate were notified about the fact that a person had exercised their right to vote for the local elections in Zalău, although he had no valid floating visa.

A person from Constanta county notified 112 that he received a ballot that did not have the control stamp. The respective ballot was canceled, the voter being handed a new ballot that had the control stamp.

In Gorj County, a gendarmerie who was in the guard device of a polling station was notified by the president of the section of no longer finding the voting stamp. On the spot were the police, who carry out checks for stable what happened.

“The missions of the employees continue to continue in the following hours, including after the closing of the polling stations, when they will be involved in assurances of the security of the electoral materials and the documents resulting from the voting, during their transport by the presidents of the electoral bureaus to the hierarchically higher electoral offices,” said the Mayor.
