From May 1, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) began withdrawing complementary supplements to people completely incapable of work and independent functioning. This benefit will be paid together with a social pension and will cover about 130 thousand. people.
Authorized persons will receive equalization for January and February 2025 in the amount of PLN 2520 gross per month. From March, after valorisation, the amount increased to PLN 2,610.72 gross.
New preventive program of the National Health Fund “My Health”
The nationwide preventive program “My Health” has started from May 1which replaced the current initiative “Prevention 40 Plus”. The program covers people from the age of 20 and aims to increase the detection of diseases at an early stage.
Patients fill out an online health survey via a patient's online account, on the basis of which a referral is generated. The basic package includes, among others morphology, glucose, lipidogram, triglycerides and TSH hormone. If necessary, additional tests are available, such as hepatic trials or the HCV test.
New rules in clinics
It has been introduced since May changes in the organization of work of specialist clinics. First of all, they will affect urology and neurology, and from May 15 they will also include nephrology and ophthalmology. The new regulations impose the obligation to conduct transparent visits schedules and introduce SMS reminders for patients, which is to limit the problem of the so -called disappearing visits.
Crisis management
In addition, the regulation of the Ministry of Interior and Administration regarding crisis management entered into force. Central record of resources of civil protection and civil defense resources will be created, which will coordinate activities in extraordinary situations. The system is to operate at both national and voivodship levels, ensuring efficient communication and quick response to crises.
