The tension between Pakistan and India. Rubio intervenes
The talks occurred against the background of growing tensions between nuclear powers after the assassination of Kashmir. India accused Pakistan of supporting the attack, to which the group called Kashmir confessed. India perceives the group as a cover for a group of fighters, which – as they say – is supported by the Pakistan army, which also plases the right to the Indian part of Kashmir.
According to the office of the Prime Minister Pakistan, Sharif said in an interview with Rubio that “he categorically rejects the Indian attempts to connect Pakistan with the incident”, called for “a transparent, neutral and reliable investigation” and encouraged the US to put pressure on India to calm the applied rhetoric.
On Wednesday, India announced the closing of their airspace for Pakistan aircraft after Pakistan did the same for Indian aircraft last week. The Pakistani authorities also suspended all trade with India and publishing visas to Indian citizens.
