Ciolacu, message of solidarity after the fires in Israel: the Romanian government is ready to provide help, if necessary

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Thursday that the Bucharest Executive is ready to offer the help of Israelis who face devastating fires during this period, Agerpres informs.

'We are fully in solidarity with the people of Israel faced with devastating fires. The Romanian government is ready to provide its help if necessary. Our authorities are in contact with Israeli colleagues, “Marcel Ciolacu wrote on his account of X.

On Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that vegetation fires that spread rapidly near Jerusalem could reach the city, AFP said.

The Israeli rescue services are on maximum alert after the outbreak of several devastating fires, mainly west of Jerusalem, the largest in recent years, resulting in the slight injury of several people.

Several roads closed due to some fires were opened in Israel on Thursday, where firefighters continue to fight for fire that devastates the surroundings of Jerusalem on Wednesday, AFP reports, quoted by News.ro. The fires broke out on Wednesday along the highway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and the police closed several main axes and evacuated thousands of inhabitants.

According to firefighters, 193 teams remained mobilized, supported by 12 planes.

The rescue service announced that it has taken care of 23 people on Wednesday, most of them with burns or inhaled smoke – including two pregnant women and two babies up to one year old.

Also, 17 firefighters were injured, according to Kan's public television.
