When will the first Polish regional train from PESA arrive in the country

The first Polish regional train produced in PESA could reach Romania at the end of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to be certified, approved and authorized, the authority for a railway reform announces. However, any term must be viewed with caution, given that there are huge delays when it comes to arriving new trains in Romania.
The EDSA has 4,000 employees at the Polish plants in Bydgoszcz and MIISK Mazowiecki and has commercial relations with 1,500 suppliers. The trams of the company travel in cities such as Iași, Craiova Cluj, Warsaw, Kiev, Sofia and Moscow. His trains are used by companies such as Deutsche Bahn, Trenitalia, Ceske Dray, PKP and Belarusian Railways. The pesa has grown a lot in recent years and will deliver trains even in Africa (Diesel frames in Ghana).
The Romanian state has signed two major contracts with PESA.
“The Authority for Railway Reform (ARF) informs that, between 23 and 25 April 2025, a delegation of the representatives of the authority was traveled to Poland, to the Pesa production unit in the city of Bydgoszcz, for carrying out the preliminary reception to the electrical frame that is part of Lot 2-23 Re-R-R electric frames, related to the no. 5/30.01.2024, which is included in the project regarding the purchase of 62 short -term electric frames ”, say those from ARF.
It was established that the estimated date for the delivery in Romania of the first regional electric frame should be May 31, 2025, in order to certify, approve and authorize and put on the market, by ARF.
The ones from ARF say that they received the bogies' frames, the installation of the exterior doors, the passenger seats and the chassis equipment of the first re-R1 electrical frame that will be sent to Romania.
The total value of the project is 2,777,369,677.05 lei (equivalent of 560 million euros), the financing being ensured by the fund for modernization (European non -reimbursable funds), and the co -financing from the state budget.
