The independent candidate for presidential elections John Ion Banu-Muscel offered on Tuesday evening, during the TVR electoral debate, a moment that had not been stipulated in the established format and which aroused the laughter of those present in the room, insisting on asking himself a question.

“The question is addressed to me,” he started, at which time another counter -candidate replied: “But you do not know the answer.”

“I also know the answer,” said John Ion Banu-Muscel. “I'm not allowed to ask myself a question?” He continued, to the moderator of the debate.

“It's a question. What do you say, are I allowed?” He asked the counter -candidates.

“Good. The question to me is: Why am I here? Why do I wonder this? Because I considered, some time ago, that Romania needs a change. For this, I have certain qualifications, qualities, principles I could help a change in Romania. But you know what I have found? The citizens of Romania are very detained, but not a change. Lords journalists, do not seek to see how it is a change, how it would be a change to occur.

“And in terms of the format of this debate, only debate is not. Because we do not discuss a plan of the presidents, (…) the presidential plan. The citizens have no idea what we are here, apart from which Mr. Antonescu (Crin Antonescu, no) wanted to answer, I did, Now, “continued the independent candidate.

“So, gentlemen, this is the question to me and I am not going to answer you,” John Ion Banu-Muscel concluded, again stirring the laughter of the room.
