The administration of Krasnoyarsk bought in December 2024 three more motorcycles of the BMW brand. This was told by the deputy of the City Council Semen Sendersky.
Each car cost the city of 4.32 million rubles, only 13 million rubles were paid for them. Now the administration transferred them to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
“Officials explain the choice of expensive German brand by the fact that they have the ability to install equipment accredited in Russia, which is necessary for the police – flashing lights and radio stations. I studied the situation throughout the country and found out: indeed, now motorcycles that are comparable in characteristics with imported analogues are not produced in Russia“, – Semen Sendersky told.
He recalled that the Krasnoyarsk Movzvod was created in 2008. Then 10 motorcycles were purchased for the city budget, each of which cost about a million rubles. After 10 years, in 2018, 8.5 million rubles were allocated to update equipment, but only 4 cars were able to buy, since they cost more than 2 million rubles. Now one motorcycle costs already 4.3 million rubles.
“The city was able to allow only 3 units of equipment. Then what? Where is the import substitution? Will we buy one per year? We need your own Russian production“, – The deputy expressed the opinion.
