Russia proposed to introduce criminal liability for dropper. Droppers are those who sell their bank cards to scammers, or provide them for transit or cashing stolen funds. The government is already preparing amendments to Art. 187 of the Criminal Code – “illegal circulation of payments.”
According to Vos loud.ru, the amendments involve punishments in the form of fines, correctional labor, as well as imprisonment. Thus, it is planned to increase the effectiveness of the fight against droppers – tightening the law will reduce the number of people selling their details, especially among young people and socially vulnerable groups.
Recall that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory since the beginning of 2025, 2,865 inhabitants of the region have become victims of Internet mesh. The damage caused amounted to 715.7 million rubles.
