The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov on the eve of the May holidays instructed the regional commission for emergencies to propose additional decisions on the prevention and fight against fires.
In his telegram channel, the head of the region said that on weekends a difficult situation with fires was formed in the territory of Krasnoyarsk, Kansk, Irbey and Kansky districts. Today, on April 28, the governor gathered the heads of these territories together so that they report to the operational situation and how to organize work with residents whose property suffered from fire.
In just two days, 77 dry vegetation fires on an area of 1,322 hectares occurred in the region. The cause of fires in most cases was careless handling of fire in hot and windy weather. Currently, for each such occasion, an investigation is underway. So, for example, on the eve of the police detained Zelenogorets, who on Sunday arranged two large fires near the village of Podyandy and next to the village of Amonash. The arsonist of dry grass explained his behavior with a desire to get rid of excessively active ticks. Two administrative material was compiled by the man under Article 20.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of fire safety requirements”.
“In each case, we need to clearly see the answer – what is the reason for the fire, who is guilty and hold them accountable. Everything related to power lines is the same: the owners need to make appropriate claims, including for reimbursement of expenses. If there are appeals on the line of social protection, the residents are most promptly examined and provide the necessary assistance to those who were in difficult life situations, ”said Mikhail Kotyukov.
The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory called for the protection of the settlements from the fire and asked the residents of the region to follow the fire safety rules for long May weekend.
