The reservoirs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were replenished with more than 26 thousand fry of the Siberian sturgeon – one of the most rare and valuable species of fish of the region. The environmental campaign for artificial burden in the Sukhobuzim district was held by the company “Stebneftegaz” (part of the Rosneft production complex).

The release of young people grown by reservoirs to the weight of at least one gram was under the strict control of representatives of the Yenisei Directorate of Rosrybolovstvo, the Glavrybvod FSBI, the environmental prosecutor's office and Rosprirodnadzor. Experts were convinced that the water temperature in the river is optimal for fish adaptation.

The Siberian sturgeon is listed in the International Red Book, as well as in the Red Books of Russia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which makes work on artificial reproduction of its population especially important.

The action is part of the system work that the company is conducting since 2014. Over the past 11 years, “Suppleftegaz” has been released from above in the rivers from above million fry of valuable commercial fish – Sturgeon, sterlet, peleadi and Harius.

The activity of replenishing biological resources is fully consistent with the principles of the “Concept of Environmental Development – 2035”, adopted in Rosneft, and is aimed at minimizing the impact of production processes on the environment. For “Sunsibnefttegaz”, which is developing the Yuruben-Tokhomsky deposit in the Evenki district, the preservation of a unique fauna in the regions of its activity is one of the key tasks of social and environmental policy.
