On this day, the first group of immigrants arrived at the railway station quietly. The service of immigrants was entrusted to Komzet, Ozet, the Bir-Bijan resettlement detachment under the Far Eastern regional resettlement department.

In 1928-1933 A relatively large number of Jews-settlers arrived, but more than half of the settlers who arrived left the region. In total, in the first six years of colonization, 19635 Jews arrived, and 11450 left, that is, only 8185 people remained. Unpreparedness to receive immigrants, interruptions in supplying goods and products of first necessity, lack of housing, severe climatic conditions, strong floods and other reasons led to the fact that many immigrants returned back. The most brave became the first builders of the new villages – Valdheim, the Amurzet and Birofeld.

Preparing for the celebration on May 1, the transporters of the depot in widely deployed a socialist competition for the best production indicators.
