According to the president, they managed to talk about the steps to ensure the protection of the lives of Ukrainians and the approach of an unconditional ceasefire. Also an important topic of dialogue was the strengthening of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, in particular, at the initiative of the Rearm Europe. The parties discussed future European restrictions against the country of aggressor of Russia.
“Particular attention was paid to the preparation of the 17th package of EU sanctions. It is important that it be aimed at key sectors of the Russian economy and become one of the elements of pressure on Russia to restore peace,” Zelensky noted, thanking the EU for support and joint work for the safety of people, just peace and European future Ukraine.
