The president of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, asked the United States and France, guarantees of the ceasefire agreement that ended the war between Israel and Hezbollah, to “recover” Israel to “immediately cease” the blows, after a new air raid on the southern periphery of Beirut on Sunday, according to AFP.

According to a statement from the Lebanese Presidency, Joseph Aoun “condemned the Israeli attack on the Southern periphery” and added that “the United States and France, as guarantees of the fire termination agreement, must assume responsibilities and compel Israel to cease the attacks.”

An aerial blow on Sunday targeted the southern periphery of the capital, a bastion of Hezbollah, after an Israeli “emergency” evacuation call of the area, found a journalist of France Presse.

This was the third blow that targeted the southern periphery of Beirut after the cease to cease.

Local television stations reported that a “hangar” had been targeted, and broadcast images showing an important fire.

AFP journalists in Beirut heard the sirens of the ambulances that were heading towards the southern periphery.

Shortly after, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the army hit a “precision missiles” on Sunday in Hezbollah in Beirut.

“At the orders of Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Katz Defense Minister, the army forcefully hit a warehouse at Beirut where Hezbollah had stored precision missiles, constituting a significant threat to the State of Israel,” the statement said.

“Israel will not allow Hezbollah neither to strengthen, nor make any threat from any part of Lebanon,” adds the same statement.
