Hungary will not leave the European Union, but together with patriots for Europe we will restore its form two decades ago – Wiktor Orban, Prime Minister Viktor Orban, wrote on the social media on Friday in the social media of Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

“Dear Donald, do not make too much hopes. Hungary will not leave the European Union. We will transform it together with patriots for Europe (a faction in the European Parliament – PAP) to restore it to the state in which it was when Poland and Hungary joined it” – reads on platform X Orban.
According to him, in 2004, when both countries joined the community, “Brussels bureaucrats served people, not themselves”, and “did not interfere in the internal political debates of the Member States, as they do in Poland and Hungary today.”
Orban stated on Wednesday that if in 2004 the EU looked like now, his country would probably not have joined the community. He added that if the conditions outside the EU are better than inside, you will have to leave.
“Prime Minister Orban today is openly talking about the exit of Hungary from the European Union. It was worth winning the election for Kaczyński's dream about + Budapest in Warsaw + never come true. This is also the stake of the next elections” – wrote Tusk on Thursday. (PAP)
