Cardiologist Sebastián Nani accused Diego Maradona's personal doctor, Leopoldo Luque, of the death of the Argentine football legend.
The head of the Cardiology section at the Olivos Clinic, Sebastian Nani claims that “Maradona was a high risk patient – his home transfer was a fatal mistake! Maradona had withdrawal symptoms and urgently needed medical supervision.”

At that time, he recommended that the former 1986 world champion will recover in a rehabilitation clinic, rather than in a private home. But Maradona's personal doctor, Leopoldo Luque, and psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov decided otherwise. And now they are considered partially responsible for his death.
Dr. Leopoldo Luque is the one who decided Diego Maradona to be cared for at home
In addition to Luque and Cosachov, another five people are in the accusations box, in the process that tries to clarify the circumstances of the death of the former great player and coach – including two doctors and a nurse. They are accused of murder, which they deny.
According to investigators, massive errors were made in home care of the 1986 World Cup, which had serious health problems. It is clear that only a few days after the brain surgery at the “Olivos Clinic”, the Argentine legend died on November 25, 2020. And that although Luque had assured in a press conference shortly after the operation: “Diego is good-and he wants to go home!”.
Diego Maradona has gone through terrible torments in the last 12 hours of life
Which is why Nani had a frontal accused, from the witnesses' box: “From the moment Maradona left the hospital, Luque was the only one responsible.” Including Diego's ex-wife and another doctor had criticized the decision not to internalize the former international in a rehabilitation clinic.
Also in the process held in Buenos Aires, two forensic doctors told what cruel death had the legend of Argentine football. Maradona has gone through terrible torments in the last twelve hours of his life, due to the accumulation of liquid in many organs, the most affected being the abdomen and lungs.
