New factories of ammunition and military vehicles are being created

In 2025, new investments are to be launched in full swing, including the construction of the new Jelcz factory, where vehicles for the needs of Narew and Wisła air defense systems and Rocket Artillery will be created. At the same time, the expansion of Military Metal Dezamet Metal Plant is planned, which are to become the leader of national ammunition production – in particular 155 mm deficit artillery shells. The plant in Nowa Dęba, belonging to the Mesko group, is preparing for significant expansion.
“Dezamet will be a leading producer of ammunition in Poland, and its expansion is a key element of strengthening the domestic arms potential” – comments Arkadiusz Bąk, quoted by “Puls Biznesu”, to the president of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ).
Nine new production plants
At the same time, they accelerate work on the so -called Project 400, under which nine new production plants are being built-five in Pionki and four in Skarżysko-Kamienna. These factories, belonging to the MESKO group, will be responsible mainly for the production of 155 mm artillery ammunition – necessary not only in Poland, but in all NATO.
Although these investments were delayed – it was originally planned to complete the work as early as 2022 – the current activities of the new board Mesko accelerated implementation. “After the last visit to Pionki, I have no doubt – this year I will be able to finalize the 400 project” – assures Arkadiusz Bąk.
