Radosław Sikorski left the Sejm. It turned out that he talked to Marco Rubio

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed about the conversation of politicians in the post on Platform X. As explained, the thread of Ukraine was mainly moved. – We talked about the whole palette of matters. Of course, mainly about the war in Ukraine and the peace process. Not all details can be revealedbecause these are delicate issues in which Ukraine is in a difficult situation. There were also issues: joint actions in other countries, energy, our subsequent meetings – mine with the secretary, but also other representatives of American authorities – said Radosław Sikorski, answering in the Sejm to the question of Onet journalist Monika Waluś.

Sikorski himself also said about a conversation with Rubio during the Sejm meeting, at which he answered the questions of deputies asked in the debate on the information of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the tasks of Polish foreign policy in 2025. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs initially apologized that he was not present during the part of the deputies. – I could not participate in this part of the meeting all the time (…), at that time I conducted a longer conversation with the Secretary of State of the USA Marco Rubio – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sikorski from Rubio also talked about political prisoners in Belarus. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed about this in response to the question what actions are taken to free Andrzej Poczobut, a journalist and activist of the Polish minority in Belarus. In March, four years have passed since the activist's arrest, recognized by human rights organizations as a political prisoner.
On Wednesday, Sikorski gave information about the tasks of Polish foreign policy in 2025 in the Sejm. The speech lasted over an hour, In addition to deputies, he was also heard by, among others President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Speaker of the Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, former President Bronisław Komorowski and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that among the goals of Polish foreign policy is to strengthen European defense capabilities and maintain an alliance with the USA. He noted that the greatest threat would be the breakdown of the Western community, indicating that our country could not afford loneliness.
