The Romanians returned to work on Tuesday after the free days of Easter, but in less than two weeks a new mini-vacation, May 1st.
May 1 fall on a Thursday, and the Government decided that the budgets will be free on Friday, May 2, to make bridge with the weekend 3-4 May.
Legal free days left in 2025
In 2025, Romanians have 17 legal free days, of which 13 during the week. After Easter, the free days for the budget remain:
- May 1 (Thursday) – Labor Day
- June 1 (Sunday) – Children's Day
- June 8 – 9 (Sunday and Monday) – Pentecost
- August 15 (Friday) – the Assumption of the Virgin Mary
- November 30 (Sunday) – Saint Andrew
- December 1 (Monday) – National Day of Romania
- December 25- 26 (Thursday and Friday)- Christmas
