“Maximum alert state” in Ecuador, the government says that the president's assassination is tried

The Ecuador is in the “maximum alert state” due to an alleged assassination plot against the recent president, Daniel Noboa, the authorities of this Latin American country announced on Saturday, according to AFP.
Noboa won the second round of the presidential elections last Sunday at a difference of over 11%, but his left rival, Luisa Gonzalez, accused of committing the “most possible possible election fraud”.
This week, on social networks, a report of military intelligence services claimed that assassins who entered Ecuador from Mexico and other countries were planning to commit “terrorist attacks” against the head of state.
“We condemn firmly and reject any intention to attack the life of the President of the Republic, the state authorities or civil servants,” the Ecuadorian government said on Saturday.
The Ecuador “is in a state of maximum alert”, the government said, attributing the alleged attempt to assassinate to “criminal organizations associated with political entities that have lost the elections”.
The heir of a banana tycoon, Daniel Noboa is the embodiment of the Ecuadorian political elite in the business field, while adopting a hard security line, notes France Presse.
Mexico broke the relationships with Ecuador a year ago, after the Ecuadorian security forces stormed the Mexican Embassy of Quito to arrest a former vice -president received asylum.
The left president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, expressed her support for Gonzalez, who said she would request the renaming of the votes in the second round, won by Noboa with 55.6% of the votes.
The Electoral Electoral Council and international observers excluded any fraud in these elections.
