A minibus transporting people, in which there were five passengers, caught fire on Wednesday evening, in the town of Ocnele Mari, the fire crews who arrived at the scene found the vehicle engulfed in flames, informs Agerpres.
According to the authorities, the minibus caught fire while in motion, the passengers managed to self-evacuate in time, without suffering injuries.
“Forces from the Râmnicu Vâlcea Fire Department, with two special water and foam extinguishing vehicles, were dispatched urgently. According to the first information, five people self-evacuated and do not require medical attention”, said the spokesperson of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Vâlcea, Sorin Albinaru.
The representative of ISU Vâlcea stated that the firemen located and extinguished the fire in a short time, but the vehicle burned completely, due to the high flames, the windows of a nearby house were also damaged, as well as the fence of the respective property.
From the information so far, it seems that the fire started from the engine, but the exact cause of the fire is to be determined after checking the vehicle.
