“Don't be discouraged!” The Bangladesh Embassy reacts after the delivery of the supplier in Bucharest. Thanks to the authorities and messages for the Romanians and for the workers of Bangladesh in Romania

The Bangladesh Embassy offered HotNews a first reaction after the incident on Tuesday, in which a delivery of this country was hit in Bucharest by a young man who was later immobilized by the police and arrested for 30 days. The diplomats thank the authorities, the Romanians and remember that the workers from Bangladesh make a valuable contribution to the Romanian society and economy.
In the message sent on Thursday Hotnews, the Bangladesh Embassy in Bucharest thanks to President Nicușor Dan for the position adopted, while sending appreciation to the police for the fast intervention.
The embassy also thanks the authorities and the people for the support given to the victim and recalls that the workers in Bangladesh make a valuable contribution to the Romanian society and economy.
“The Bangladesh Embassy in Bucharest transmits sincere thanks to the President of Romania for his timely and main statement by which he condemned the aggression on a citizen of Bangladesh on the night of August 26, 2025 and for reaffirming Romania's sustainable commitment to solidarity, hospitality and tolerance,” says the Embassy message.
“Bangladesh and Romania have excellent bilateral relations, supported by long -term cooperation in the field of education, trade, mobility of workforce and cultural exchanges. Expatrier workers from Bangladesh make a valuable contribution to the Romanian society and economy, while serving as a vital bridge in the consolidation of the two -country bonds” Asian state.

On Tuesday night, a 20-year-old hit a bangladesh-driver on a street in Sector 2 of the Capital, shouting in English: “Go back to your country!” And “you are an invader.” The aggressor filmed the moment, but was immediately caught by a policeman in his free time. Preventively arrested for 30 days, the young man is accused of hitting for racial and xenophobic reasons.

President Nicușor Dan condemned the incident on Thursday.
“I firmly condemn the aggression on a young man who came to work in Bucharest, who was hit and humiliated just because he was not born here. Such facts are intolerable,” says Nicuşor Dan, in the message posted on his Facebook page.
Nicușor Dan also says that the acts of “xenophobic violence, no matter how isolated it may be an attack on the fundamental values of our society.”
Also, the head of state reports that this case should be treated by authorities with maximum seriousness, “as a motivated hatred” and congratulates the policeman who intervened on Tuesday evening, when he left the police station.

In the message, the president also reminds the millions of Romanians who are abroad: “Many Romanians are, in their turn, go to work abroad. This is why we know too well what it means to have to look for your chance from the country and family.”
“I reaffirm my commitment to a Romania who respects the rights of each person, regardless of nationality, ethnicity or status. Anyone who lives and works here deserves equal protection and treatment. Do not define us, Romanians, but solidarity, hospitality and tolerance,” concludes Nicușor Dan.
