A previously convicted 36-year-old resident of Kansk was again sent to a correctional colony for ignoring administrative supervision.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory said that at the end of 2024 the man was released from prison, where he was serving a criminal sentence for committing a number of property crimes. He was placed under administrative supervision for 8 years with mandatory monthly reporting to the police at his place of residence, a ban on traveling outside the region and being outside the house from 22:00 to 06:00.

Upon his release, he indicated that he would stay in the Kansky Center for Social Adaptation. However, upon arriving in the city, he arbitrarily changed his address without reason, and also ignored the mandatory registration with the police department.

“The local police officers, who discovered this illegal fact, opened an administrative supervision case against the convicted person and took measures to search for him. Six months later, while responding to a call about a domestic dispute, the police recognized one of the participants in the brawl as a man who was hiding and detained him for investigation. The man admitted guilt in his crime and explained that he simply wanted to live with friends, and not in a social institution where he would be monitored,” the regional police noted.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 1 of Art. for evading administrative supervision. 314.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The man was sentenced to 6 months in prison to be served in a general regime correctional colony.
