The Vaslui County Police Inspectorate was notified by a telephone at 112 that on DN 24, at the exit from Satu Nou, Muntenii de Sus commune, there was a traffic accident and that a person is dead. The call came on Tuesday night.

The police officers arrived on the spot, a few kilometers north of Vaslui, saw a fallen body and blood on the road. The witness who called 112 was in a car when he noticed the red traces on the road. He called in shock to the police, saying he sees a corpse.

The Vaslui policemen entered the alert, sense that they have to deal with an accident with a fleeting. When they approached, the scene took another nature. The body was a dummy, dressed like a man, and blood was not blood.

“Following the first investigations carried out, the police officers of the Vaslui Road Service established that, on the night of April 15 to 16, 2025, six young people, between the ages of 14 and 19, from the village of Satu Nou, would be located on the road side of the national road DN 24, at the exit from Satu Nou, Muntenii de Sus, a Muntenii Commune” IPJ Vaslui representatives.

“The dummy imitates a person who would have been the victim of a crime, and thus would have made it difficult and endangered the traffic on the respective public road sector, prejudice to the right to free movement of traffic participants,” the police said.

From such stages, says the police, real accidents can be born.

The police have prepared a criminal case in terms of committing the crime of “preventing or making traffic on public roads”.

They draw young people's attention to the serious consequences that such gestures can have:

  • Creating a panic state among traffic participants or passers -by;
  • Unnecessary attracting of intervention resources (police, ambulance, firefighters, etc.), which could thus be prevented from intervening at real emergencies.
  • Endangering road safety, by distracting the attention of drivers and the possibility of producing real road events with serious consequences.

“We call for parents and teachers to talk to adolescents about the risks and consequences of such gestures,” IPJ Vaslui officials said.
