Crin Antonescu gave a security statement in 1988, but he was not a security collaborator, says CNSAS
The PSD-PNL-UDMR candidate in the 2025 presidential elections is a certificate that “he was not an agent or collaborator of the Security as a political police”, but gave a statement to the communist security in 1988 about a colleague of history at the General School in Niculi (Tulcea).

CNSAS claims that Antonescu cannot be assigned the quality of worker or collaborator of the Security, the political police of the communist regime.
“Considering the decision of non -apparture and non -cooperation with the Security no. 7.1/11.01. CNSAS said.
However, he gave a statement in 1988 about a colleague teacher, being called to Security.
“Based on the note of finding no. DI/I/355 from 31.03.2025, drawn up by the specialized Directorate of the National Council for the Study of the Security Archives, in which the following elements are found: Mr. Antonescu George Crin Laurentiu appears in the Found Found File no. Informative initiated by the Security on Mr. CS, as well as his entourage, the holder of the certificate, a history teacher at the General School Niculițel and a close friend with C.Ș., was summoned by the security bodies and gave a statement, dated 13.01.1988, Oologă, signed with the real name ”, CNSAS showed.
The document, registered with the number 1554/10.04.2025, was issued in accordance with the provisions of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 24/2008, regarding the access to its own file and the Security deconsposure, and was signed by the president CNSAS, Constantin Buchet.
