China ordered their air lines not to make further supplies of Boeing aircraft after US President Donald Trump imposed 145 % duties on Chinese goods.

According to Bloomberg, Beijing demanded that Chinese airlines have ceased all purchases of aviation equipment and spare parts from American companies – two sources informed that they asked for their identity. The new duties would cause more than twice an increase in the costs of aircraft and spare parts produced in the USA.

The Chinese government is also considering how to help air lines that lease Boeing aircraft and have to face higher costs.
