Consumers do not have to worry that there will be no eggs for Easter, and their price will be slightly higher than a year ago – said in an interview with journalists the chairman of the National Federation of Poultry Breeders and Egg Producers Paweł Podstawka.

“At present, the situation on the egg market is stable. The price of eggs will be slightly higher than a year ago. We have a flattering price at the moment and it should no longer grow, and the world will probably fall slightly” – said the chairman of the federation.
He explained that in retail sales prices for several months increased gradually by average 5 %, and in relation to 2024, prices went up by 14 percent.
As Paweł Podstawka pointed out, currently the most eggs in Europe are produced by France, the Netherlands and Great Britain. Poland is the fourth largest egg producer in Europe. We produce 11 billion eggs a year, of which 40 percent He goes to export. (PAP)
