European allies have announced “an increase” of military support for Ukraine, including the British government that will help $ 580 million. Norway will also contribute with additional funds, the London Ministry of Defense said on Friday. Financing will provide repairs and maintenance in vehicles and equipment, as well as radar systems, anti -tank mines and hundreds of thousands of drones. The support partially aims to strengthen the country's position before any peace agreement with Russia, while the UK and Germany are hosting a meeting at the NATO headquarters in Brussels on Friday.

Defense ministers from the so-called Ukraine Contact Group, led by the US, meet in Brussels on Friday, where Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Humorov is expected to provide updated information on the front, reports DPA and Agerpres.
It is also expected that Umerov specifies what the equipment is most urgently in for the country's defense forces.
Earlier on Friday, the Ministry of Defense in the United Kingdom announced an increase of 450 million pounds of military aid for Ukraine, given that the United Kingdom and Germany replace the US as a host of 50 countries.
The military support package will be delivered by British and Ukrainian suppliers to help Ukrainian armed forces while they make efforts to defend themselves against Russian forces, the British Agency Pa said.
The package includes 350 million pounds from the United Kingdom, the rest being provided by Norway through the International Fund for Ukraine, administered by London.
Military sources have recently warned that Ukraine may face significant military difficulties by the end of summer if its partners do not commit to provide additional military aid.
The meeting at the NATO headquarters in Brussels will be co -depicted by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and his British counterpart John Healey. The two ministers are the place of the former US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who initiated and led the so-called Ramstein group, consisting of about 50 countries, until the Washington administration.
President Donald Trump's new US administration has decided not to keep these role. Instead, it aims to determine Kiev and Moscow to reach an agreement to cease the fire as soon as possible. Other countries are afraid that such an agreement could be realized on the account of Ukraine, notes the DPA.
