In Krasnoyarsk, city services are intensely preparing for a flood, which can begin this weekend. This was reported in the city hall.
In the period from April 11 to 13, weather forecasters predict an increase in air temperature in the regional capital to 20-26 degrees. This can cause an increase in water level in the city rivers of Kacha and Bugach. The mayor Vladislav Loginov instructed the heads of the district administrations in contact with residents whose houses are located in the area of possible floods.
To monitor the current flood situation, the city administration, the Main Directorate for Civil Defense, Emergencies and PB and the Unified Dispatch Service on duty are monitored daily. To date, the water level in the quality is 150 cm with critical 400 cm, and in the Bugach River – 70 cm with critical 175 cm. In the Yenisei, the water level is now at a mark of 159 cm, with critical 390 cm.
“Observation is carried out at five water meters. The city link and utilities are in high readiness mode for operational response to possible flooding of the city and complaints of residents. In case of flooding of residential buildings, temporary accommodation points have been prepared, ”the city hall explained.
