“We are committed to a constructive process. We have already held preliminary consultations with our European partners and are preparing for further discussions with the American side,” Umerov wrote on Friday on the X Rustem social networking site.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will be accompanied during the talks by the Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff, Andriy Hnatov. “We are acting clearly in line with the priorities set by the president: Ukraine's security must be guaranteed reliably and for a long period of time,” emphasized the chief negotiator of the Ukrainian side.

Earlier, Axios reported, citing its sources, that US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Rustem Umerov will meet on Friday in Miami with security advisers from Germany, France and Great Britain. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Sani are also expected to participate in the talks on Ukraine.
In turn, the US and Russian delegations are scheduled to meet in Miami this weekend. The Russian delegation is to include Kirill Dmitriev, Vladimir Putin's envoy, and the American side will be represented by President Donald Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
