Bridget Brink, US ambassador to Ukraine, is considering resignation

Bridget Brink was nominated as former president Joe Biden. He has been playing its function since May 2022.
Now, according to the Reuters agency, citing unofficial information, He considers resignation and this is not a resignation forced by the new administration. He would resign for its own will. In addition, according to the agency, BRINK is to consider leaving the US foreign service.
The State Department did not comment on agency reports.
If the above information is confirmed, then Brink would join the growing list of professional US diplomats, who have left the State Department since the office took office by President Donald Trump.
Brink's departure would have one more dimension. Current relations on the Washington-Kijów line are not the best, and the resignation of the current ambassador, as emphasized by the Reuters agency, will not improve them.
It is currently unknown who would replace Brink at an institution in Kiev. The Reuters agency informs that the names of potential candidates are mentioned above all. Chris Smith, i.e. the current deputy assistant of the Secretary for Eastern Europe as well as regional policy and matters in the European and Eurasian Affairs Office, who earlier, in the years 2022–2023, was the deputy head of the mission at the United States Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine.
