Meteorologists issued Wednesday morning alerts yellow code and orange wind and blizzard code throughout the country, valid for Thursday. At the same time, meteorologists extended the warning of very cold weather, haze and frost on the ground until Friday evening.

The yellow code of intensifications of the wind, blizzard and snow layer enters into force tomorrow, April 10, from 09.00 and is valid until evening, at 23.00.

Most of the country the wind will have intensifications with 50 … 70 km/h, and at altitudes of over 1700 m the bursts will be 75… 85 km/h.

Most of the Eastern and Local Carpathians in the Western Carpathians will snow and be a blizzard. In Maramureș, Transylvania and Moldova, and towards the local evening and in the east of Muntenia and Dobrogea will predominate the snowfall that will be visclated.

New snow layer will be deposited on average 10 … 20 cm in the mountain and generally 5 … 10 cm in the south and east of Transylvania and locally in Moldova.

Also for Thursday, ANM issued two orange code alerts of strong wind intensifications and viscible snow. The first alert is valid between April 10, April 12 – 10, at 23 and targets the mountain area and the low area of ​​Mehedinți, Dolj and Olt counties. Here, there will be strong wind intensifications with gusts of 70 … 90 km/h.

In the Southern Carpathians, the Carpathians of Curvature, the Banat Mountains and in the Apuseni Mountains the wind will blow strong with speeds of 70 … 85 km/h, and at altitudes of over 1700 m gusts will be 85 … 120 km/h and will be a strong blizzard and very low visibility, below 50 m.

The second orange code alert is in force between April 10, at 3 pm, April 10, at 21, and targets the counties of Vrancea, Galați, Buzău, Brăila, Ialomița and Călărași. Here, there will be strong wind intensifications with gusts of 70 … 90 km/h, temporarily it will snow, and the visibility will be very low, below 50 m.

The weather continues to be particularly cold

At the same time, ANM announces that between April 9, at 10 – 11 April, 9 pm, the weather will be particularly cold, both day and night.

The maximum temperatures will generally be between 2 and 12 degrees, and during the nights and mornings will be recorded mainly negative temperatures, between -7 and 4 degrees, lower in eastern Transylvania up to -10 degrees. Local haze and frost on the ground will occur.

According to meteorologists, they will be intervals with precipitation, snow snowfall, predominantly snowfall, north and northeast and mixed in the rest of the territory.

Temporarily, the wind will have intensifications, with general speeds of 45 … 55 km/h in most of the country.
