Romania, the last workout before the qualification dam at the World Women's Handball Championship

The national women's handball national team performed the last training on Tuesday evening before the Tour of the Dam with Italy. The “tricolors” start large favorites in the double qualification at the World Championship.

Florentin Pera, Bogdan Burcea and Ildiko Barbu have developed the last details. The official training took place in the room in Chieti, where the match will take place tomorrow.

It is expected that the atmosphere will be dominated by Romanians. Handball does not have great popularity in the peninsula. The federation announced that the entrance is free, and the town of Chieti is less than 200 kilometers from Rome, the place of an important “tricolore” community.

Romania, on the way to the World Women's Handball Championship of 2025

The World Women's Handball Championship from 2025 will take place between November 26 and December 14 in Germany and the Netherlands. The matches will be played in Dortmund, Stuttgart, Trier, Rotterdam and 'S-Hetogenbosch.

At the final tournament, 32 teams will start. 19 of them are already known:

  • Europe: Germany (host), Holland (host), France (trophy holder), Hungary (euro semifinal), Norway (euro semi -finalist), Denmark (euro semifinal)
  • south america: Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay (the podium of the continental edition of 2024)

  • United States and China have benefited from a Wild Card.
